Description
This is NAT KING COLE's album THE VERY THOUGHT OF YOU from 1958 on Mono (not stereo) vinyl LP. I believe this record is the 2nd US pressing from 1960, but I could be wrong. Written on the record sleeve is the inscription in cursive blue pen ink that says, "Sami, Good Luck Nat King Cole." I purchased this album a year ago from eBay under the impression it was an authentic Nat King Cole autograph. However, I sent photos in to autographcoa.com recently and the signature failed Authentication. Inspecting the signature more carefully, I can understand why it failed authentication compared to other Nat King Cole autographs. That being said, since I don't know the back story of the inscription on this album, I don't believe it's authentic. However, sometimes COA companies do get it wrong, and I am not a professional. so there is a possibility that it might be authentic. Maybe asking another expert could be good. Obviously, an authentically signed Nat King Cole album would be worth a lot of money and a great collector's item to have. You should know all of that before bidding. Please inspect the photos above carefully. The sleeve I would say is only Good quality, because of the wear, cracks, tears, markings and ring wear as you can see. The vinyl record I would have to rate as poor, because it has pops and crackles unfortunately. The record number is W1-1084-D7" side A and W2-1084-D7"2 side B. Comes from a non-smoking home. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. There will be no returns so please read everything and inspect photos above carefully as your sale will be final. Prompt payment is expected after auction thank you and auction winners are expected to pay.
