This is the exceedingly rare original vinyl pressing of the New Christs first release "Face a New God b/w Waiting World" single from 1981 on Green Records, a label formed by Roger Grierson (ex Thought Criminals) in partnership with journo Stuart Coupe.
The New Christs story evolves from the mass of splinter bands that rose out of the demise of Radio Birdman. In this case Rob Younger went out recruiting another almighty lineup, which included Cab Callaway – guitar; Clyde Bramley – bass; John Hoey – keyboards; Ken Doyle – drums (B-side ?); Don Mc Glone – drums (A side ?).
A totally essential piece of vinyl from down under with a B side that is hard to surpass. This classic should be in everyone’s collection, but I suppose the devil wasn’t willing to do any deals to ensure that it was. Anyway here’s an exceptionally rare chance to grab a 29 year old copy of this classic in top condition from my personal collection which is signed by the band’s founding father Rob Younger.
Condition
Vinyl – Retains its shiny lustre & is graded EX.
The labels a bright & clean with no spindle marks.
This was never issued in a picture cover & it’s housed in its original green factory sleeve, which graded VG+.
