An original 1st press of Bookends for the UK market... The vinyl comes housed in an early original front laminated Upton cover. Lovely quality solid copy not like the countless flimsy later ones! 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In excellent condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Importantly it's playing clean even into the quieter moments. Why can't all copies sound like this...it really makes a change to hear this sixties classic in such fine fettle. Few copies will play consistently like this. A few minor crackles in one brief spot per side which otherwise plays clean as a whistle. Makes a change!... 
Cover (Vg+) In lovely condition and that aesthetic on the front is well preserved without fading or creasing. Ditto the rear but with a touch of ageing [better than most specimens]. Some edge wear along top and bottom edge - sharp openings. The spine is 95% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
