Description

An original autumn 1966 UK 1st mono pressing on UK CBS. Matrix A1/B1. Note that early copies from '66 will be pressed on much heavier stock than they'd use in the early 70's. The vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue Dawson Rossitor cover with flipbacks. We also have the original CBS advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Vg+) In lovely looking condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback. As you will no doubt be aware - this delicate S&G acoustic...and ALL copies exhibit some signs of use in the audio no matter how carefully looked after. This copy plays really well consider the vintage and the extremely delicate audio. Expect a bit of low-level static sporadically in the quieter tracks. Nothing invasive or likely to impinge on the listeners enjoyment. A great little original player.
Cover (Vg+) Many original copies will be wrecked by this point in thyme! But this example is looking pretty dapper. A nice flat front with just some thumbnail creases near the opening. The rear has escaped the worst of the ageing process - just some evidence over toward the opening. Edge is relatively light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Minimal ageing and no splits.
