This is a test pressing so it appears that this was an absolute first pressing from fresh pristine master tapes so this thing sounds AWESOME!

I am selling off my entire Rock and Roll record collection that I have been collecting for over 30 years. Up for bid is a super rare MONO version of the Sounds of Silence Test Pressing from the UK! I bought this many years ago from a huge S&G fan in Great Britain and he did not know much of the history of this particular artifact but it appears that this was a test pressing. 

As you know, all of Columbia records mono releases were dedicated mono mixes, meaning they are entirely different from the flat, tiny, echoey, and lifeless stereo mixes! The following mixes are noticeably different on the mono versus stereo versions:

Homeward Bound (Different opening vocal and much less reverb)

I Am A Rock (without reverb) is about 40% distortion and 60% music

You have got to hear the dry mono mix of Sounds of Silence!  No ugly reverb on the drums!

Sound Quality: This is a fantastic sounding mix and it sounds fantastic!  You all know that the 60's vinyl pressings are the way to go and the recording, mastering,quality, and sound are FANTASTIC!  You won't find this stuff anymore.  Just take a listen for yourself like I did. 

Condition: I grade according to Goldmine standards.  That means a VG+ vinyl will be just that, an LP that is in beautiful condtion!  I am very picky when it comes to grading and grade to Goldmine standards. I absolutely hate it when dealers ameliorate the condition of the vinyl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when I am the buyer!!  All my Lp's have been stored in my house upright on a shelf in an air conditioned and dry environment, meaning no warping, staining or mildew! 

The cover is a super clean Near Mint with no ring wear.  The only flaw are a couple of staple holes on the top. Otherwise, no seam splits, holes, stains, rips, tears or obvious flaws.   The vinyl is super clean and the white labels are nice with no flaws. Each LP plays on one side only.  I've play graded the entire LP and listened to it in its entirety (I love the mono experience!).  No pops, tics or scratchiness.  Just pure analog mono bliss!
