Description
Welcome....Your looking at a record from my own collection entitled "Bookends" by Simon and Garfunkel.
Released: April 1968
Record Co: Columbia Records Catalog No: KCS 9529...This is the stereo catalog number clearly printed on the mono record label.
Condition: Cover: (VG+)-Very Good Plus. This comes with a stock, stereo cover.
Record: (Side 1) plays through with a moderate amount of background noise, ticks and pops. Graded as (G+). Good Plus.
Record: (Side 2) gets hung up at the beginning of the first song (Fakin' It), by repeat skipping, but the rest of this
side plays through with a moderate amount of background noise, ticks and pops. Graded as (G+). Good Plus.
This record is not in "mint" or even "near mint" condition and was given as an advance copy to radio stations.
Note: This is a remarkably rare mono white label promotional copy of this popular title and is highly sought after by collectors.
I do accept returns if item is not as described. Buyer pays return shipping.
Buyer pays shipping cost. U.S.A. only please. Payment by Paypal within 3 days please.
Thanks for looking!
I wanted to update a couple of things regarding this record and cover.
First...when I first listened to the record it was on my usb turntable so I could record it onto my computer. The record skipped on the first song on side two as stated above.
I just cleaned the record again and played it on my Technics SL-6 and it did not skip at all.
The grade will stay the same at (G+) due to the background noise, ticks and pops.
Second...This is a relisted item. The first time it was listed it was offered with the original damaged cover, or actually, the front half of the cover with the timing strip and a sticker that states that it is a mono promotional copy.
I decided to include the stereo cover instead this time around.
Good luck bidding!
