Description

Very few fans of Simon and Garfunkel would argue that their 1970 album 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' is their masterpiece.  Produced by Simon, Garfunkel, and Roy Halee, the album is a showcase for everything that made this duo great....unforgettable melodies coupled with intelligent and sensitive lyrics, stunning vocal harmonies...... and all superbly arranged and engineered.  'Bridge' garnered an amazing 4 Grammys, including the one for best album.  Audiophiles have debated for years as to which pressing of this magnificent album sounds best.  It's a tough call but I've concluded that after listening to dozens of pressings, only 3 in my opinion, have stood out .....1st 1973 Japanese Quadraphonic, MFSL from 1984, and the pressing on offer here, from 1980, CBS Mastersound Half-Speed Mastered version.   The very first U.S. and UK pressing are also desirable but nearly impossible to find in decent condition as most suffer from background noise and/or warps.  
Condition of Lp Jacket:  Near Mint(-) .....nearly perfect with just a couple of inoffensive creases and minor wear to corners. 
Condition of CBS Mastersound Insert: Near Mint
Condition of Record: Near Mint.....the labels are flawless....both sides of the record look beautiful and reveal a mirror-like shine.  I've auditioned this pressing from start to finish and it played with amazing depth, superb highs and significant clarity....and most importantly, distortion-free.  An audiophile inner-sleeve will be included.
