What is it?: Sincerely, San Jose - What The World Needs Now/You Don't Get Young Anymore (Karma 301-1)
Next bit copied and pasted from t'internet. "This is the Bay Area group Fritz, containing Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks in their first commercially-released recordings, though credited for some unknown reason to the name Sincerely, San Jose. It features two of three songs recorded in a 1968 demo session at a San Mateo, CA studio, and both feature lead vocals by Buckingham." Amadly obscure record which has been seen going for stupid money; this copy was a refugee from a 1970s soul pack (for overseas bidders, Northern Soul fans in the UK used to buy landfill US singles by weight on the off chance of digging up a lost classic). B-side is actually very good freaky psychedelic music.
The sleeve: NONE - When I found it it didn't have one.
The record: FAIR/GOOD - It has had a tough life (I found it in a car boot sale in Carlisle in the 1980s, without a sleeve, and had no idea of what it was until the internet was invented). It is scuffed all over, but plays through with a lot less crackle and distortion than you would expect. In the interest of total disclosure, it also seems to be pressed slightly off centre, but with a little patience and positioning it spins fine.
Trust my grading: I worked in one of London's top collectors shops for several years and do my best to be as strict as hell, even though I know my VG is most people's MINT on eBay.
