Description
This is Sinead O’Connor’s first album. This release is from 1987 and is the first US Carrolton pressing. The artist had an intense battle with societal expectations and public sentiment. Shuhada Sadaqat embraced the Muslim faith late in life. Professionally she was still known as Sinead O’Connor. She was a polarizing figure and spoke for what she believed in. As usual I do not intend any disrespect as to the content herein. I do however believe the past should not be buried or covered up and in fact doing so is a disservice to the affected marginalized groups.
The dropouts read:
(A side): BFV- 41612-A-1A G1 Masterdisk DL (and something crossed out)
(B side): BFV: 41612-B 1 B G 3 masterdisk Dmm
This writing indicates this copy is a Direct Metal Master, a sought out version and truly “Audiophile.”
I don’t use AI descriptions. I’m listing this at a higher amount because it’s a classic and becoming very rare. This is a top copy of a first pressing. The cover is free of splitting and the a side is closer to near mint. The b side has a few superficial marks. Likely paper scuffing from the inner sleeve. No spindle marks.
I cleaned this with rca discwasher 4 and stored it in a static free inner and outer in a temperature controlled and low humidity setting per the library of congress phonograph archiving standards.
