Sister Rosetta Tharpe - Spirituals in Rhythm - 1960 Promenade Records (MONO PRESS) # 2234 / MATRIX= **(MK-3072-A "P" / MK-3072-B "P")**
**I played the record through twice...** / VERY RARE ORIGINAL MONO PRESS ON PROMENADE, NOT RE-ISSUE...
DISC: GOOD with many many numerous light faint fine shallow hairs and needle drags all over the surface, looks like an ice skating rink. Many light scuffs and small light scrapes on both sides, many amorphous shaped needle drags. Very heavily worn grooves from many repeat plays. Labels faded but mostly clean, original thick heavy press. There will be constant louder static, crackles and audible 'pop's throughout playback. Somewhat bold audio, with heavy background noise. Very rare surviving copy that will actually play through. Many little dimples, some small chunks missing on edges, see last picture (right by shine in record on edge).
COVER: G+/VG- with a small seem poke through on title spine mid spine, about 2 inches. Small split bottom spine by title spine side. Other spines intact. Art is mostly clean with little fade or ring wear, vibrant colors still. Some coloring on song titles on back cover. Some pin holes in corners of cover. Some light creases around spines from handling. Very rare original Gospel Blues LP, in original MONO format with matching cover catalog numbers.
