Ska 7" The SKA KINGS - Jamaica Ska / Oil In My Lamp M- Atlantic 1964 France BIEM

CONDITION: M-/M-

Vinyl appears completely unmarked, clean labels,and plays as good as it looks! no clicks, ticks, pops, skips or jumps. Seldom seen BIEM variant, 55 years old and in really superb condition.

Each side has a small printed label with the date 10.2.65 and run-time written in biro.   These labels lead me to think that the record may be a Factory sample or from a Music Archive/Library?

The Ska Kings are better known as Byron Lee and the Dragonaires.   Keith Lyn and Ken Lazarus took the vocal on "Jamaica Ska".  Eric 'Monty' Morris took the vocal on "Oil In My Lamp" and the 'Chorus' seems likely to be Toots and The Maytals.
