Description
This is an original 1st press of Slayer Show No Mercy on 1983 Metal Blade records. Original tan labels, only found on the first pressing. The lyrics insert is present and in great shape. The cover has minor wear and light creasing but displays very nicely! Vibrant colors and no defacing, holes, writing, rips, stains or other defects.
PLAY TESTED: Since the visual grading of this LP was less than VG+, I play tested it. There is some light crackle between the tracks and in the quietest parts such as a lead-in, but otherwise NO skips, pops or ticks that I detected. A VERY nice playing copy, despite the scuffs and hairlines! Powerful and loud, all the dynamics are there! This is the REAL DEAL first pressing of one of the most iconic thrash bands to ever exist, do not sleep on it since this release is VERY sought after these days. Please see all the hi res photos, as they are part of the description. No filters were used and all photos are taken in harsh white light, so as to show any possible flaws. All of these LPs are from my personal collection, some I have obtained from others through the last 30 years, done I bought new back in the day. They have been meticulously taken care of, maintained in an upright position in a humidity controlled room in a non-smoking home. They have always been in resealable outer plastic sleeves with the LPs stored in static free inner sleeves. Most all of these are well preserved, investment grade pieces. All LPs are visually graded unless otherwise noted. Please remember that ALL vinyl has some noise - it's inherent to the format. This can usually be minimized with good equipment, good cleaning practices and regular maintenance.
