Hello fellow record collectors,
I'm selling off most of my record collection and I'll be listing all my metal, stoner and doom stuff first, some alternative, and then all my classic rock of various sorts, so keep an eye on my listings if you're interested. Here is Slayer's mind-melting South Of Heaven LP in EX- condition. There is a sticker on the front cover that says "Collector's Item Limited Edition 180g Coloured Vinyl Incl. free Poster + Lyrics". The vinyl looks really decent but I can see some minor scuffing in the light, but no deep scratches. The vinyl is a kind of orangy-brown colour. There is some wear on the top edge of the cover, but otherwise it is perfect. This is on Def Jam recordings but it is an import from France. The poster is perfect. Here is the all music guide review:

When it comes to death metal, no band is more convincing than Slayer. For other bands, focusing on death, Satanism, the supernatural, and the occult became a cliché; but Slayer's controversial reflections on evil always came across as honest and heartfelt. The group's sincerity is the thing that makes South of Heaven so disturbing and powerful — when the influential thrashers rip into such morbid fare as "Spill the Blood," "Mandatory Suicide," and "Ghosts of War," they are frighteningly convincing. With their fourth album, Slayer began to slow their tempos without sacrificing an iota of heaviness or incorporating any pop elements. South of Heaven would be Slayer's last album for Def Jam. When Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons (brother of Joseph "Run" Simmons of Run-D.M.C.) parted company, Slayer went to Rubin's new company Def American, while LL Cool J, Slick Rick, and other rappers recorded for Simmons at Def Jam.
I will package this in a sturdy cardboard record mailer. I will ship Regular Parcel Post through Canada Post. Shipping will cost $12.00 to Manitoba and east and $10.00 to Saskatchewan and west and all of the US. This will include $200 of insurance. International buyers should ask me the shipping cost on an individual basis and I will find out the cost. You should probably get insurance too. Let me know how you want it mailed and if you want insurance and I will find out the cost.
