Description
Here is what I think is the most desirable edition of this year's amazing Dopesmoker release on Southern Lord.
This edition has the black vinyl which is not only the rarest of the non-picture-disc versions (at 1500 copies), but is by far the edition most desired by audiophiles who feel that the colored vinyl is inferior to the black.
It also has the extremely rare cover printed on holographic foil paper (most copies didn't get this treatment). From the Southern Lord website:
"we had the artwork printed on holographic foil paper and then fabricated by Stoughton for their "old-style" tip on gatefold jackets. This was the bands vision as the best way to present the artwork. Due to the high expense of the paper we only did a portion of the pressing on this paper stock. After these have sold through we will have the 'regular jackets'"
If you haven't heard this remastered edition of Sleep's classic, you really need to hear it again for the first time - and this is the deluxe edition for your collection.
The vinyl was played once (and sounds amazing). The cover is in the condition it was when I received it - with some unfortunate crunching in a couple corners - otherwise perfect.
