The original long OP debut LP from the mighty SLEEP! This is NOT a bootleg, it is the original LP issued by Tupelo.
This is a former radio station copy from a now defunct college station, so station call letters are written on cover w black sharpie. Also, there is a small rectangular mark on the inner labels. The spine has the usual wear and tear (see pix). Other than that, LP is in great shape. No idea how many times it’s been played, but apparently not very much. I picked this up in a used record store a few years ago.
WIKI: Volume One is the debut album by the American band Sleep. It was the only album recorded with original guitarist Justin Marler, before he became an Orthodox monk. Volume One showcases a darker sound and stronger doom metal influence than Sleep's later work. The image featured on the cover is taken from the Salvador Dalí painting "Soft Self-Portrait with Fried Bacon".
