Here we have a rarity in the form of a 12" 78RPM one-sided acetate recorded by Marsh Laboratories inc. titled "Our Last Frontier --Slim Williams" then below is printed "Redpath Bureau" This recording is priceless, it has sort of an interview with Slim Williams during which at the start he Mushes up behind his dog-sled and begins telling tales after being asked a questioned by an interviewer...one about only 14 women being in Alaska at the time and he being a lady-killer is going to get the girl before Robert W. Service does. Later he goes on to talk about Dan McGrew. This record is in Excellent condition, it has a few micro-fine scuffs and a spot on the rim'lead-in area with very fine scuffing but plays beautifully for it's age. This is a one-sided piece of vinyl with a lightly faded label, someone wrote "copy" with a pencil on the top portion of the label. The back has some very light scuffing, there are no other markings on this vinyl to identify it except for the label. Around the hole on the back is stamped "PRESTO USA" and a couple other holes which you can see the aluminum under the laquer. This is a rarity. Shipping insurance required.

It appears that ebay has not updated the postage calculator because it is spitting out quotes that today I confirmed with my post office to be incorrect. Postal Rates Increased AGAIN May 11th. I noticed today that a Parcel Post package from 46219 to 28374 was only .05 cents cheaper than Priority.

MINT (M) 
The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The jacket and any extra items are in perfect condition. 
EXCELLENT (EX) 
The record shows signs of having been played but there is negligible loss in sound quality. The jacket may have slight wear or creasing. 
VERY GOOD (VG) 
The record has been played many times but shows no significant deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks. Normal wear and tear on the jacket, without any major defects, is acceptable. 
GOOD (G) 
The record has been played enough that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably and may have light pops and skips. The jacket may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits or discoloration. 
FAIR (F) 
The record is playable but was not properly cared for and plays with extensive surface noise overriding sound and may skip considerably. The jacket may be torn, stained or defaced. 
BAD (B) 
The record is unplayable and probably broken and is only of use as a collection filler.

 

Please consult AMG.com or other music/artist reference sites for album information (song names, what instrument does Billy play on the record, who wrote the songs, etc.) Don’t take it personally if I don’t do the research for you.
