Sly & The Family Stone - Fresh, Epic KE 32134 LYRIC INNER, GATEFOLD

Sly finally emerges from the dark narcotic haze of There's a Riot Goin' On stronger, smarter and less optimistic (but just as hopeful). Fresh is awesome. It's the funkiest album the band ever recorded, and the first six songs are the strongest such stretch of Sly's career. Especially the under-appreciated "Frisky" and "Skin I'm In", where he works out his impossibly elastic and soulful voice to full effect.

Grading scale: NM > EX > VG+ > VG > Good > Poor)

Vinyl: VG+. Signs of use but nothing that really compromises the record visually or audibly. The finish is shiny with light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Labels are superb, clean and bright without marks. Spindle shows no sign of wear. And no warps.
