Woodstock August 17, 1969 documents Sly and the Family Stone’s set at the most famous rock festival ever. The band came on in the early hours of August17th, 1969 and were considered one of the highlights of the festival. They tore through their most popular repertoire up until that point and thrilled concert-goers with renditions of “Sing A Simple Song,” You Can Make It If You Try,” Everyday People,” “Dance To The Music,” “I Want To Take You Higher,” “Stand!” and others.
This is a brand new, sealed copy of the Epic Records release which came out on Record Store Day – April 13, 2019. The music is on three sides of two LPs, making the second one a “sesqialbum” with an etching of the band’s logo in lieu of grooves.
