Description
Here is one of the gems I had in the vault for many years. This is an amazing find in that this particular piece is virtually like buying a brand new copy in 1966. One of the great mod LP's that most people reading this already know about. First pressing on heavy vinyl with the unboxed Decca ffrr logo. XARL-7217-5A and XARL-7218-A in the run out groove. Only two small barely visible spindle marks on one side of LP (none on the other). This is one dead mint piece of vinyl. Cover is equally nice in that there is not only no ring wear on the laminated cover but there is none of the usual round 12" indentation on the cover from the vinyl inside (although there is a bit on the back cover). Also, very "white" back cover with no browning like most covers from that era have. Killer sound quality on this as you would expect from that era's UK first pressing LP's. Only one copy and when this one is gone you are on your own. Pricey, but worth it. This has been cleaned on a pro VPI 17F record cleaning machine which vastly lowers the noise floor and improves the sound of any record dramatically. While eBay requires us to post Media Mail at $4 I highly encourage any US buyer to pay $7 extra and use Priority Mail as it is a much faster service and records get much better treatment during shipping. Media Mail can also be very slow at times (up to two weeks) while Priority Mail is 2-3 days anywhere in the US. No hassle return policy.
