Small Faces, Ogdens, ROUND SLEEVE, IRELAND PRESS
The Small Faces, Ogden's Nut Gone Flake.
Immediate/NEMS Irish pressed LP housed in circular sleeve, IML 2001.An unusual press. Presumably mono, as stereo not marked to labels, which are white with brown text. Many discogs list this issue as having a square rather than round sleeve, so perhaps this Irish pressing is a bit of an oddity.
Vinyl in mostly very clean and bright condition. Marks around the spindle areas suggests just a very few plays, and vinyl surfaces have just a very few of the lightest of superficial hairline scuffs and misplaced fingermarks. There are no deep scratches or gouges. Generally surfaces are clean and with a good gloss still. Labels are clean and undefaced. LP is slightly dished, although there was no great undulation noticed when I played the LP, and playback is not affected by this on my Technics SL-1700 M2 deck. Playback is clean, with just the odd occurence of light and low level static ticks and bursts of crackle evident. No loud or repeated ticks. I have made no attempt to clean the record and leave this to the buyer.
Sleeve with this one is a real gem, and in clean, bright and unmarked condition. Hard to find one like this even as a 1970's reissue. All five circular fold out parts are clean, intact, and without tears, bar a tiny and really neat closed tear to one hinge joint, barely noticeable. This is partial only, and the hinge is still held well in place. There is a tiny crease line to the top edge of the front part of the sleeve, but this really is very minimal and hardly detracts. There are no tears or scrapes, and all edges are crisply delineated still and without wear. Sleeve is printed in Great Britain by Garrodprint Ltd.
There is no inner sleeve, although the LP will be sent out in a protective sleeve. Both LP and sleeve will be wrapped to arrive as they leave me.
