Vinyl-Thick cut heavyweight giant. Tremendous high gloss with a mirror like sheen, similar to mint vinyl . Audio –sensational with that extra LOUD cut engineering, that only the very first and earliest pressings can deliver ! An almost perfect delivery, of every sensational track, from this classic Small Faces release !

Small faces were formed in London and within ten weeks of their formation had a smash hit with their record “What cha Gonna Do About It”? Took many months to produce this first album and the tracks are unbelievable. Even at this early stage  in their career and development, they were acclaimed as the most exciting group on the pop scene. They had their own unique sound and did it sound good. This first LP exemplifies their talents and their individuality.

Laminated front, James Upton ,very first issue, single flip back sleeve. Minimum creasing and hardly any laminate lifting No significant creases. No hand writing on reverse. Not much edge wear at all . No significant ring wear. Excellent- condition . Most are found with rips/tears but this example is quite exemplary, with just some age discoloration on reverse.

Audio

Plays , very near, perfect. As this is one of the earliest first pressings, the audio boasts that EXTRA LOUD CUT delivery, only found on these earliest releases and sounds absolutely phenomenal, compared to the later boxed Decca versions. The organ blasts, coupled with the lead and bass guitars ,all blend together to convey a sensational delivery, not to mention the pounding percussion, which pulsates the audio, into an exceptional sound dimension. Low level static is detected between tracks, but as soon as music commences, each track is delivered with exceptional clarity and the grooves maintain clear channels throughout play. There are NO repetitive ticks  and this vinyl offers the listener an absolute dream of a delivery. No aural discrepancies to mention during play , save for some surface between tracks ,and this vinyl delivers like no other. A virtually near perfect aural delivery !! The monotone perspective operates in sensational style, with a sharp definition and a razor sharp edge .The depth of sound is quite unbelievable, with no distortion detected. Plays exceptionally well and is rated at least excellent in accordance with the RRPG, the UK collectors catalogue. Absolutely superb!

Vinyl

There are some surface marks, visible if angled against a strong light .However, the stunning sheen and the highly reflective gloss from its surfaces, allow any surface mark to disappear beneath its mirror like glaze, producing a sensational visual. At least an Excellent visual ! Beautiful !

Labels

Rare red open Decca first issue format, in excellent condition with several spindle lines observed. No lifting/peeling, nor rips nor tears. Hardly any spindle wear visible. No crusting and no graffiti of any kind. No damage to report . The silver text still is very prominent, with very little fading.

The vinyl is found with its original inner sleeve, with the rare blue text, advising playing and care instructions. These are beginning to become hard to find and are much sought after by collectors. It is in remarkable EX+ condition and will be kept separated from the vinyl, during its transit period. Rest assured, the vinyl will be housed inside another inner sleeve, to protect the vinyl surfaces from any damage during transportation.
