Description
This is Smashing Pumpkins debut album titled "Gish". It was released May 28th,1991 in the US on the Caroline Lable, and the Hut Label in the UK. "Gish" was recorded from December 1990 to March 1991 in Butch Vig's Smart Studio's in Madison, Wisconsin on a budget of $20,000. It was co-produced by Butch Vig and Billy Corgan. "Gish" was also recorded towards the end of Billy Corgan's psychedelic influence, while the band's New Wave roots had almost entirely evaporated. It introduced the alternative rock sound and heavy dynamic shifts that would characterize later Pumpkins work. This record is the Original US Pressing SEALED with a small bend in the lower, front right corner. Please see pic. The catalog # on the spine is: Carol 1705. Bar code matrix # is: 17046 17051. This record does not contain the word Re-Mastered under the bar code. Record was stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke/pet free home.
