Number 806 of the original 1st pressing of this alternative rock masterpiece from the legendary Chicago four piece.

There seems to be a lot of confusion as to the rarity and numbers released of this record. As a life-long collector of Smashing Pumpkins records I can assure you of the following:
This is my original FIRST PRESS, very low number 806.
It's one of the original 5,000 run by Hut UK in 1996. Due to it selling out almost instantly a second run was later issued with numbers running up to the 20,000 mark. A third press was subsequently released just with a blank box on the front of the record.
This is by far the rarest and most sought after version of this record and a unique opportunity to own a piece of original Smashing Pumpkins history.
I personally purchased this record on the day of release from a HMV store in the UK. This record has been meticulously cared for and been part of my personal collection for 20 years.
It is in superb condition. Played a single time by me to listen to the two additional tracks "tonight reprise" and "infinite sadness" as listed on the "starlight" side of the third vinyl.
Sleeve is perfect apart from some extremely light wear on the corners and one or two barely visible hairline creases on the edges. There are three almost imperceptible creases on the back cover on the gate-fold edge and one on the bottom inside of the gate-fold. You'd expect more wear from a record that had been on the shelves for a few weeks. I will supply more photographs if required.
