The Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness Deluxe LP Box Set presents the Smashing Pumpkin’s masterpiece album remastered for the first time and spread over 8 sides (4LPs) to provide the optimum sound. The four 180gm heavyweight LPs are housed in a 12’’x12’’ deluxe rigid slipcase and come accompanied by two books containing personal notes, lyrics and new collage artwork.
The set has been owned from new, sadly the seal has started to break off and the back cover sheet is ripped, otherwise the item is still new. I've tried to photo it so you can see exactly what you are getting. The plastic seal hasn't ever been removed but as you can see it is torn and the top is hanging off.
The 4 vinyls are presumed MINT / NEW, they have never been out of the box!
It is a shame that the back cover sheet is ripped - however, on the positive side it is just a sheet rather than the actual back of the box - it was designed this way as there is more brilliant artwork underneath - so if you're buying this to actually use and play this could be discarded.
It is a brilliant set, I just need the money and sadly have to let it go! I paid about £130 for it at the time due to the superficial damage/torn back sheet and seal. I kept it as is and never opened it, saving it for a rainy Smashing Pumpkins day that I didn't get round too! I've decided to list it as cheap as poss, postage is a far bit - this item weighs about 2.5kg! Compared to all the other sellers and other sites, you can grab a bargain here!
