Hello. Up for action is an 2xLP orange vinyl pressing of Siamese Dream by the Smashing Pumpkins released on Caroline/Virgin Records (carol 1740 1) in 1993.
Please read the following description for cover and vinyl grading:
The COVER is VG+. There are no seam splits, tears, writing, cut outs, or ring wear. On the front cover there are two light creases, approximately 1/2" in length running from the spine out towards the artwork. As well, on the back cover, there is a 1" light crease running from the spine towards the back image. Almost all of the corners have been slightly bent (please refer to photos #3 and #4 as examples).
The VINYL is VG/VG+. Both pieces of vinyl play nice. The reason why I've graded them as VG/VG+ is due to the first piece of vinyl having a slight warp. On my system it does not cause skipping, nor does it compromise the sound but it is there, and I think it deserves mention. The second disc has no warp.
In general one can expect to here surface noise in between tracks and during songs that have quiet moments ( "Hummer", "Soma", and "Mayonaise" are good examples). Speaking of "Hummer" there are about 4-5 mild pops from about the 5:50 mark onwards. The surface noise is something like the sound of static. I don't find that it overwhelms the music but it is present during those quieter passages. If you're looking for something that is absolutely whisper-quiet, this probably isn't going to be to your liking.
I've play graded these LPs in the effort to provide the most fair and accurate description of these records as I can. Please do keep in mind, however, that different stereo systems may result in some variations in the listening experience.
