Description

Greetings. Up for grabs today is the complete 7in x 4 "Siamese Singles" by The Smashing Pumpkins on Hut records from 1993-94. Pressed on colored vinyl and long out of print, this is a rarely seen, complete with box, Smashing Pumpkins treasure. Perhaps the best album they ever did (all due respect to Mellon Collie), these are all classic rock anthems of the early 90's. I am the original owner, and have recently decided to let some things go. The vinyl and sleeves all range from VG+ (Ex+, if you prefer) to NM. I will detail each release in this awesome set...

**Today**Hut 37**RED Vinyl** Limited to 5000 copies--Beautiful NM copy with a slight knick to outer edge (very common for this one) that can be seen in picture #2 under "Today" on sleeve. Will not affect play. Labels are clean. Sleeve is a very clean NM also.

**Cherub Rock**Hut 31**CLEAR Vinyl**Limited to 5000 copies--Beautiful NM vinyl that I'll call NM- because of some slight wear to the label on the "Hut" side (Can be seen in picture #2). Sleeve is a very nice VG+ with a few very slight stresses (nothing that breaks color), and very slight ringwear that can only be seen from the back. This is Cherub Rock #3251.

**Disarm**Hut 43**PURPLE Vinyl**Limited to ???? copies (Some say 5,000, others 7,000)--Gorgeous NM copy, with only a couple of very faint scuffs from the sleeve. You'd be hard-pressed to find a nicer copy--The sleeve is a respectable VG with slight ringwear, and two tiny splits (left and bottom). It was the only release of the four that came in a basic paper sleeve.

**Rocket**Hut 48**PEACH Vinyl**Limited to 1500 copies--Oh yeah, the star of the show (can go for up to $150, when available) Ultra rare vinyl looks amazing at VG++ to NM- with only two very slight surface scuffs that travel from edge to about 1 millimeter into first song on Side A. They DO NOT affect play. By ebay standards, it's NM all day, but not by mine.  Labels and sleeve are clean, and absolutely NM. Of course it comes with the box...As it was released as HUT48...Limited edition sticker, and barcode prove the authenticity, and though it has some knicks and scuffs (As they almost always do) it is solid in structure and clean. Nothing at all horrible to report, but I'd have it at VG.

**Because of specific questions, I'll elaborate on the box itself. The peach "Rocket" single came with the box as HUT 48 and has a limited edition sticker on the front explaining that it contains only one 7. The SPBOX1 (black singles) box has no sticker. Further, the barcode on HUT 48 is #724389272109 & for SPBOX1 it's #724389272406...and that's how you can determine whether you're looking at a "chopped" set...or in this case...the absolute real deal.

**ADDITIONAL DETAILS**

I always get a kick out of these sellers who ask $200 or more on the all black vinyl "Siamese Singles" release from 1994. I even saw someone pay $330 bucks for one. They all claim this is the "official" Siamese Singles, and the colored set is a bootleg. Either they haven't done their homework, our they intended to prop up their auction with bullshit...so let's get educated.

You'll get no argument from me that the black set was an "official" release, but so too were the colored 4. These colored, limited edition, singles all came out in late 93, or early 94 and were sold seperately prior to the release of the black set. The black set was produced complete (all four singles together), with a run of 6000 (some say 10,000 copies). Obviously, because you had to collect the colored ones individually, and with only 1500 peach "Rocket" copies, this collection is AT LEAST 4 times more rare mathematically, and even more so in reality...imported, OOP, limited run, had to get all 4...and colored. That's why it commands so much more $$, and why complete sets are few and far between.  I hate the word "rare" because it's sooooo overused on ebay, but hey...This set is RARE!!!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions...and as alwayz, thanks for lookin'...Good Luck!!

**ADDITIONAL DETAILS**

I am a serious collector of vinyl, concert art, comics, vintage toys, and cards (of all kinds), and am familiar with grading standards.  I also understand how to pack delicate collectable items. I am honest about any flaws, and always try to be strict and conservative in my observations about any item...more so than many of the sellers I've dealt with here on ebay...In short, YOU WILL BE PLEASED!!

**THE IMPORTANT DETAILS**

U.S. (and Canadians who contact me prior for a shipping quote) bidders only--Confirmed Paypal address only--Items will ship securely in a box (inside another box)--Of course ebay makes us offer media mail (which is painfully slow sometimes), but if you'd like it faster, I'm also adding  proirity mail to my shipping options--Rest assured, either way, these will be packaged EXTREMELY well--I always leave feedback for satisfied buyers that aren't too lazy to leave feedback for me--Payment is expected within 3 days--
