Description
Smiths, 16 UK 7", including Hand In Glove, Mancs, RARE
The Smiths, amazing collection of sixteen UK 7" in picture sleeves.
Unless otherwise stated these are all in superb condition, as I've looked after these. The majority have unmarked vinyl surfaces and labels, and clean and crisp undamaged covers. Anything less than this will be described. All are regular UK issue black vinyl. Rough Trade RT 131Hand In Glove b/w Handsome Devil. Manchester address on rear of sleeve. Very faint ringwear to sleeve, not overly noticeable.
Rough Trade RT 136This Charming Man b/w Jeane.
Rough Trade RT 130Sandie Shaw: Hand In Glove b/w I Don't Owe You Anything. Couple of miniscule, really tiny marks to cover, very unobtrusive.
Rough Trade RT 146What Difference Does It Make b/w Back To The Old House. "Morrissey" sleeve. Small crease to corner of one of the back sleeve flaps.
Rough Trade RT 146What Difference Does It Make b/w Back To The Old House. "Terence Stamp" sleeve.
Rough Trade RT 195Shoplifters Of The World Unite b/w Half A Person.
Rough Trade RT 156Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now b/w Suffer Little Children.
Rough Trade RT 198 I Started Something I Couldn't Finish b/w Pretty Girls Make Graves. RARE copy with B side label on both sides. (Lables only, plays A & B sides). Rough Trade RT 186That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore b/w Meat Is Murder. Two tiny and non-sounding superficial marks on vinyl.
Rough Trade RT 191The Boy With The Thorn In His Side b/w Asleep.
Rough Trade RT 176How Soon Is Now? b/w Well I Wonder. One light and non-sounding mark on vinyl. Some creasing to all four corners of the sleeve, but overall appearance still ok.
Rough Trade RT 166William, It Was Really Nothing b/w Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want. "Green Man" first issue. Very light ringwear and minor creasing to sleeve.
Rough Trade RT 181Shakespeare's Sister b/w What She Said. One or two of the lightest of non-sounding marks to vinyl. Ringwear just beginning to appear on sleeve, but very minor damage, unobtrusive.
Rough Trade RT 200Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me b/w Rusholme Ruffians.
Rough Trade RT 196 Sheila Take A Bow b/w Is It Really So Strange? May 1985 NME (UK music mag) freebie GIV 1B. In plain sleeve (not issued with picture sleeve).Features Smiths - What She Said Live at Oxford, 18/3/85. (Also features U2 - Wire (Dub Mix), Bronski Beat - Hard Rain, Cocteau Twins - Ivo (New Version)).
Yes, the opening bid is high. These are from my own collection, and I would rather keep them than give them away for less than they're worth. The Smiths are without a doubt one of the most important and influential bands of my lifetime.
