Description
Soft Machine, The Peel Sessions: 1990 double LP on Clive Selwood's Strange Fruit label, bringing together tracks from five sessions recorded between 1969 and 1971. Personnel for most tracks consists of Mike Ratledge, Robert Wyatt, Hugh Hopper and Elton Dean - for many, the Softs lineup - with a couple of pre-Dean and post-Wyatt tracks.
Gatefold sleeve includes rare pics of the band, lyrics of the infamous "Top Gear" version of "Moon in June" and quotes from Mike Ratledge, Robert Wyatt and Hugh Hopper at the time of the second Soft Machine album.
