Nine-LP box version. 180-gram vinyl. Limited Edition of 1000. Cluster's influence on the development of electronic music cannot be overstated. Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius produced eight albums in their most innovative period between 1971 and 1981, two of them together with Brian Eno. Cluster anticipated much of what would later emerge in such varied styles as industrial, ambient, electro, and even synth-pop. Some call Cluster's music avant-garde, others krautrock or kosmische musik. Few would dispute their immense influence, despite their relative lack of commercial success. In addition to the the aforementioned 8 albums, included here is a 9th LP containing two different mindblowing live concerts, one on each side, that are unavailable anywhere else. This also a includes a booklet containing an exclusive text on the evolution and significance of the band by Asmus Tietchens, as well as essays on each album and rare photos.
