Description

This is the original Van Gelder-stamped mono “P”-pressing of Solomon Ilori “African High Life” on the New York USA labels of Blue Note BLP 4136.  The playing surface is in new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.   The laminated New York 23 cover is in extraordinary condition – bright and clean throughout – with three sharp corners; ¼” wear on the top seam, at the spine; ¼” bump at the lower right corner; “Review Copy” stamped at the top of the back slick.  Blue Note inner sleeve is included.  Personne include Chief Bey, Montego Joe, Jay Berliner, and Ahmed Abdul-Malik. $100.00.
