Released in 1958 this counts as one of the earliest African compilations released in Europe.
A classic, contains that well known quirky little kwela called Lemmy's Jump that they always use on the TV. It's a compilation of mainly South African artists playing Kwela - Solven Whistlers, Specks Rampura, Toko Tomo & The Bachelors, Jimmy Pratt with Lemmy Special, Little Jemmy & Big Joe, The Blackjack Hitters, & Alexandra Junior Bright Boys - the routes of much Jazz, Blues and Country music. Also marks the debut appearance of Miriam Makeba.
