From a 4 Record set “Songs for Little Folks” this record includes the clever lyrics “On October 31” set to “In The Hall of The Mountain King” in Edvard Grieg’s 1875 “The Peer Gynt Suite.”
Using only tunes from classical music pieces, this is Bob Hannon & Jerry Sears Orchestra by Mercury Miniature Playhouse, 1080A & 1080B, MMP 44M-98, 1946, 78 rpm, Non-Breakable. “My Little Toy Boat” and “The Wind and the Breeze” are also on this record.
It plays well; the fidelity sounds so delightfully like the 40s. Its orchestra is probably actually one violin, one harp and one piano, plus Mr. Hannon’s singing. Enjoy
No original sleeve or cover. Very clean but has some light, visible scratches. It skips twice on two of the songs, but plays better if you use a light needle. You get a free actual CD recording of it (hurray, without the skips!) and a typed sheet with the lyrics. It will all come swiftly to you, expertly packaged. Pictures are part of the description.
