Sonia Rosa: Golden Bossa Nova LP from 1970 on the Columbia/EMI label (original Australian pressing). This record is valued at around $300-$400, I am giving it away!!??
Beautiful female Scat Bossa Nova from Sonia and her various Japanese backing players.
On side one, the work was arranged and conducted by; Sadao Watanabe Quartet (1), Kunihika Suzuki (2,5), Sonia Rosa herself plus Akio Miyazawa on flute (3), Shunichi Makaino (4), Koichi Uzaki (6).
On side two, the work was arranged and conducted by; Shunichi Makaino (1,4), Kunihika Suzuki (2), Sonia Rosa herself plus Akio Miyazawa on flute (3,5), Sadao Watanabe Quartet (6).
Tracks are: side one 1.The Girl From Ipanema/Fly Me To The Moon/Desafinado/The Look Of Love/Meditation/Corcovado/I'll Never Fall In Love Again/The Shadow Of Your Smile/La Chanson D'orphee/Alfie/Secret Love/Tristeza.

In vocal jazz, scat singing is vocal improvisation with wordless vocables, nonsense syllables or without words at all. Scat singing is a difficult technique that requires singers with the ability to sing improvised melodies and rhythms using the voice as an instrument rather than a speaking medium.
The photos form part of the description. The sleeve is clear bright and crisp. It has very slight corner wear on all four corners. The front of the sleeve has very slight ring wear grime at the top of the album, say 1/10.
The rear of the sleeve has very slight ring wear grime, say 1/10. On the top right rear of the sleeve is a date stamp of "6SEP". There are some light tan stains shown in the photos.
The record itself has seen very little play, on side two, you can see a couple of very fine surface hairlines if you angle the record to the light. There is certainly no visible damage whatsoever that will affect the quality of play. The record is graded Excellent.
The laminated cover is graded VG+. The record is graded Excellent.
The last one of these extremely rare LP's of the same grade that sold on Ebay in 2004 went for $356 Aus.
The record will be fully insured for it's value when sent, this is included in the postage cost.
