Description
Up for auction is the ridiculously RARE Sonic youth album, “EVOL”, which was released on SST eons ago in 1986. What makes this one so hard to come by is that it was pressed on PINK SWIRLED vinyl. The official Sonic Youth website asks the question “Was SST version originally on pink vinyl?” Even they don’t know! This is the only reference that I’ve been able to find as to the very existence of this record. It also comes complete with the original double-sided insert, which has the track listing and some radical artwork.
The coolest thing about this album is the locking groove on the last track on side 2. The groove doubles over onto itself and repeats the last of the feedback infinitely, until you remove the needle

I don’t use the MINT grade without the record being sealed in shrink wrap from the factory. That being said, I bought it unplayed and I’ve never played it. There isn’t a single flaw to be found on sleeve, insert or the vinyl. The cover is NEAR MINT, the insert is NEAR MINT, and the vinyl is NEAR MINT. I won’t break my own rules because I grade as conservatively as Mitt Romney. You really won’t find a better copy anywhere. You probably won’t even find another copy anywhere. Thanks for looking.
