Description

This is Checker (cover) / Chess (label)  Records LP-1437, Sonny Boy Williamson Sings Down And Out Blues, a blue, deep groove label early mono issue of this classic record. The record is in VG++ condition, showing almost no signs of wear. Two very light marks keep this from being near mint. They do not effect the play. The record plays quietly throughout. This is the best vinyl I've ever seen or heard! The original cover has tears and edge wear probably from being stuck to another record because of water damage, but is still intact.  The labels are excellent and show only light spindle marks. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 with the mono button engaged. If you can tolerate the cover damage, this is an excellent, collector's grade copy of this rare early mono issue. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders.
