Sonnyboy Williamson & The Yardbirds “Recorded Live At The Craw-Daddy Club Richmond (London)”. Hier in der äußerst raren Version auf dem Hamburger Star Club Label. Dieses Album, im Jahre 1966 erschienen, wurde    am 8. Dezember 1963 aufgezeichnet. Es waren die ersten Live Aufnahmen der noch jungen Yardbirds, die sie als Begleitband des legendären Sonnyboy Williamson absolvierten. Erich Clapton war seit Oktober 1963 ihr neuer Gitarrist. Der Impressario des Crawdaddy Clubs, Giorgio Gomelsky,  wurde ihr Manager und bald darauf folgend begann der internationale Durchbruch für die Band.

Condition: “Very Good” Das Album sieht, für das Alter, noch recht gut aus. Nur einige “Hairlines“, die größtenteils durch das Rein- und Rausschieben aus der Innenhülle entstanden sind. In der jeweiligen Ein- und Auslaufrille und vereinzelt zwischen den Stücken und an leisen Stellen ist ein leises Knistern hörbar . Allerdings sind auch einige Kratzer  vorhanden, die sich an einige Stellen aber nur durch kurzes leises Knacken bemerkbar machen. Auf Seit A Track 3 und 5 sind sie allerdings etwas stärker. Geprüft habe ich die Platte mit Kopfhören, beim Abspielen über Lautsprecherboxen sind die  Nebengeräusche um einiges geringer. Wer also nicht zu penibel ist kann mit dieser sehr seltenen Platte trotzdem noch viel Freude haben.  Die frontseitige Laminierung ist noch recht gut erhalten und hat nur geringe Verschleißerscheinungen. Die Ecken sind  leicht angestoßen und an den weißen Rändern sind einige Farbveränderungen vorhanden. Im Gegenlicht sind rechts oben zwei matte Stellen erkennbar. Vermutlich Kleberückstände von Preisstickern. Die weiße, matte Rückseite ist teilweise nachgedunkelt und ein  “Record Ring“ beginnt  sich abzuzeichnen , Es sind aber keine Risse oder sonstige Schäden vorhanden. Der Cover Rücken ist noch gut leserlich. (Siehe  Fotos)

Sonny Boy Williamson & The Yardbirds "Recorded Live At The Crow-Daddy Club Richmond (London)". Here, in the extremely rare version on the Hamburg Star Club label. This album, released in 1966, was recorded on December 8, 1963. It was the first live recording of the young Yardbirds, they played as the backing band of the legendary Sonny Boy Williamson. Erich Clapton was their new guitarist, recently joint October 1963. The impresario of the Crawdaddy Club, Giorgio Gomelsky, became their manager and following soon thereafter began the international breakthrough for the band.

Condition: "Very Good" The album looks for age, still quite good. Only some "hairlines", mostly caused  by the in- and outsliding from the inner sleeve. In the in- and out grooves, between the tracks and on quiet parts some soft crackling is audible. However, some scratches are present,  but only by brief faint clicking noise noticeable. On Side A, on track  3 and 5 two scratches are little bit stronger. I have tested the record with headphones, listening on loudspeakers the background noise is a lot less. Who would not be to meticulously, could with this very rare record, still have a lot of pleasure. The laminated front side is still very well preserved and has only slight signs of wear. The corners are slightly initiated and the white edges have on some parts color variations . Against the light two dull spots are visible, on top right. Probably traces adhesive residues from price stickers. The white, matt back is partially darkened and a "Record Ring" is beginning to emerge, but there are no cracks or other damage found.
