Description
The Yardbirds were pretty much unknown in 1963 when they were “discovered” by Sonny Boy Williamson. He liked their sound so much he requested a recording session with them, and this was the result. This really is a Sonny Boy album, but you can hear the beginnings of the blues as interpreted by Eric Clapton and the rest of the band. It’s a fantastic album, released on Mercury in 1965, number SR61071. I have listened to the album for grading purposes and it plays exceptionally well. The vinyl has a couple of very light surface scratches that do no affect play. The album plays with virtually no background noise and grades at NM. The album cover does show some age wear and discoloration. The corners show some very light wear. The bottom seam has a 2 inch split in the middle. The other seams are intact. The cover grades at VG.

Bye, Bye Bird
Pontiac Blues
Take It Easy Baby
I Don’t Care No More
