Description
Black label with large white Imperial logo, deep groove. 12 tracks. Criss, alto sax; Kenny Drew, piano; Buddy Woodson, bass; Chuck Thompson, drums. Barney Kessel plays on 4 tracks. Recorded in 1956. Fine modern jazz. Cover: VG(-). Entire top and bottom edge has split. Some random scuff mark on the front cover. Small tear on the upper corner of the front cover. Probably from an old price sticker. Light aging on the back cover. Heavy cardboard jacket. Record: VG to VG+. Visually shows only light wear with a few light surface brush-like marks, No scratches. Played a number of times. Side A plays with very light background surface noise. In contrast, Side B has only an occasional, infrequent, light crackle for only a short period. This makes grading difficult. I have given it an overall grading, the best of my judgment. Audibly checked.
