Description

FOR SALE: Sealed copy, Sonny Landreth, "Outward Bound", Original 1995 Rock the House/Zoo/Praxis issue. Slide guitar madness by the Cajun maestro. His first solo album. Great mix of rock, zydego, swamp and a lot more. Special guest John Hyatt. Mastered by Bernie Grundman. Perfect as original, Never opened, Never played!   Bought new in '95, been on the shelf since then. Still in the plastic bag, even the plastic looks fresh. Great opportunity, can't imagine how you could find a better copy, this is just how it shipped to me almost 25 years ago. If you are looking at this you must know about this record, so I won't bore you with the details. There are plenty of reviews online, so you can check them out at your leisure. How many more sealed originals of this are out there? Who Knows! But if you want one, here ya go, here's your chance.........
I'm not a dealer, just a regular guy who needs to raise some cash, out of his own collection. I'll have to get by with the CD. Just a note on shipping: when I ship this, I will do my very best to ensure that it arrives exactly as it sits here now. I unfortunately have experienced the skill of the various shipping companies in damaging stuff. What they are capable is quite amazing, but not in a good way. They are bad, but we are better. This record will not be sent in a flimsy 'record mailer' that strikes fear in my heart whenever I hear of someone boasting that they can ship records 'safely' by using one of these. Yikes. No way. When I ship this, I will do the following: First I will wrap it in another layer of heavy plastic. This plastic will be tight to the album cover, and strapped in place by tight tape on the center of each edge. This so the vinyl disc will not be able to punch through the edge of the sleeve if some bozo throws it like a frisbee. When I buy already opened records by mail, I always ask that they are mailed with the vinyl outside of the sleeve, so this kind of damage won't happen. But with this unopened copy I can't do that, unless you want me to. Your call. I guarantee that I won't play it or touch the vinyl, if I do. So the original plastic bag will be folded a little bit at the edges when it arrives. This is the best I can do with a 'loose bag' kind of wrap. If you buy any of the other sealed records I'm selling, I will put no more than two together inside the plastic wrapping, so that I can make it plenty tight. Then I will make a mailer with at least three layers of heavy cardboard on each side, with a crush zone of at least two inches all around. It will be sealed on all edges with a couple of layers of strong tape and marked 'Fragile' and 'Do Not Bend'. I will send it USPS Priority with tracking and insurance. If you want me to send it UPS, I can do that, But they aren't much better than USPS in my experience. Fed-X can be used, but they are also dodgy at times and a lot more expensive. Safest, of course is if you pick it up in person. I'm in Manhattan, NYC. I can meet you somewhere near the 'A' train on the West side, no problem.  Check my other listings for other sealed records, including Billy Joe Shaver's "Tramp on Your Street". If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking and enjoy the music!
