Description
For auction is a vintage, vinyl LP record by Prestige. The record is PRLP 7079---Saxophone Colossus featuring Sonny Rollins in the Sonny Rollins Four. This is from an estate. I am not a collector nor trained grader but by sight I believe the record is a very good to very good plus. The cover or sleeve has some issues and I would grade it good plus. There is some water damage to the back right along the spine and some damage along the bottom edge that shows on the front. There is a bubble in the cover covering at the bottom left corner and a 1/2" spot of damage on the top at the center.
The record and labels are without any damage--only slight scratches and some dirt (I have done nothing to clean the record surface) There is an inner sleeve that is in very good condition. The record is marked in the dead wax with an RVG, what looks like a sideways, block A, EX, PRLP-7079-A and B, an arrow and the letters AB.
The label shows a Prestige address on South Washington St. in Bergenfield, N.J.
