Description
What you're looking at: Holy crap I love this album. This LP is truly a piece of history. Original deep groove pressing. No R on the label, with the 63rd address! This thing is in fantastic condition overall. It's not mint, but it's damn good. Please read my descriptions below for a full analysis.
How it stacks up:
RECORD: VG+ (7.0-8.0 of 10) Not a super-strong VG+, but a moderate one. Side 1 is a solid VG+ with only paper scuffs; but no affect on play. Side 2 is the same with the exception of one spot at the beginning. It didn't cause skipping for me, but it caused about 2 seconds of crackle. It's not a super deep scratch, but a few seconds of issues on the first track. I took a picture of it; it's a small gash looking mark (picture showing the edge of the record). Other than that, it's a VG+ album. Very good for the age with some light paper scuffs and a few light surface scratches. Minimal noise.
SLEEVE: VG+ (8.0 of 10) Other than some aging on the seams and a short 1" split on the bottom opening, it's preserved very well. Strong spine. Some wear, but overall very nice.
ATTENTION: I am now pleased to say that all records will be vacuum cleaned prior to shipping!!
MY GRADING SCALE (I.E. NOT ANYBODY ELSE’S):
OK, my goal is to be as specific as I can without being ridiculously wordy. I give one of these (from worst to best): G, G+, VG-, VG, VG+, VG++. That is it. No more letters, thus VG++ is a very good record. NM does NOT exist in my scale.
AFTER THE GENERAL GRADING SCALE, I have a second number in parenthesis, which is meant to be more specific. I find that a number is more specific than a general sector of opinion, thus the number will be between 1 and 10. This is meant to give you a more-specific idea of what you are getting into audio quality wise, the former is more for visual.
That being said, I play with a customized Thorens TD 165 (YEAH BOY!!) through Polk Speakers and a Pioneer receiver.
RETURNS: Generally returns are a no go, unless you have a compelling reason; also, I will give a TWO week grace period for exchanges (that means the buyer pays shipping back to me if they want a return). I give plenty of chances to see what you’re buying (audio clips, emails, two part grading system and a full policy description) and, as I see it, the buyer has as much responsibility as the seller to a) know what they are buying and b) have the decency to ask prior to purchase.
COMBINED SHIPPING: I charge a flat rate of $4 for one record, which covers postage, plastic sleeves, replacement inserts, shipping boxes, etc … After that, if you purchase more, it is $1 extra for each record domestically.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I now will ship overseas of whatever the quote is. so CHECK THE QUOTE BEFORE BIDDING!!
I really hope this answers all questions and concerns; however, if it doesn’t, EMAIL ME. Other than that, bid happily.
