Description
Superb copy of this Sonny Rollins classic. The tenor sax maestro is backed more than capably by Ray Brown (bass) and Shelly Manne (drums) on this set with a western theme, recorded in Los Angeles in 1957.
This is the stereo 1973 repress on Contemporary Records and it's extraordinary how well preserved this 50-year-old pressing is.
The sleeve has some minor creasing to one corner, a brown spot on the back cover and that's pretty much it - excellent in every way.
The vinyl is similar - bright, glossy and with barely any noticeable marks at all.
It plays beautifully, and the orange Contemporary labels are also in excellent shape. It comes in a white paper inner sleeve with rounded corners, also in excellent condition.
A really great copy you'd struggle to improve on.
