This listing is for the Sonny Rollins - Way Out West - 2-LP 45 RPM set from the Analogue Productions Top 25 Jazz reissues series, mastered by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman.  It is numbered 667 out of only 1000 numbered copies.  Unfortunately, the 2nd LP is defective.  There is some background noise that makes it hard to enjoy the music, especially during the quieter passages.  There is also some wear on the outer sleeve and some light wear on the jacket.  Given the rarity of this LP, it seemed appropriate to let the market decide the value.  Being able to listen to Sides 1 and 2 should be helpful for someone considering dropping the big $$ on a new copy.  We have several other 45 RPM titles from this series currently available and many more to list.   Please visit our store for a large selection of LPs and CDs in a range of audiophile formats.  Feel free to ask any questions and we will do our best to answer them.

Given all of the interest in this set, I have done a closer inspection of Sides 3 and 4.  There are no visible marks on the LP whatsoever.  The LP hasn't been cleaned, but it looks very glossy with no dust or other debris.  I decided to spin sides 3 and 4 again to pinpoint the noise.  To my surprise, the noise that I described after my first listen was no longer audible.  I suspect that I may have a grounding issue with my turntable (the Rega table that I'm using has been notorious for this problem).  Anyway, I'm going to leave this auction running and the sale is for the set as-is.  Please bid accordingly.
