Description
This is the original RVG-etched deep-groove pressing of Sonny Rollins “Saxophone Colossus” on the West 50th St. labels of Prestige PRLP 7079. The playing surface has a nice luster and plays flawlessly except for several very light tics at the end of “St. Thomas“(Side A, Track 1) and “Moritat” (Side B, Track 1). The laminated West 50th St. cover is bright and clean throughout; ¾” split on the top seam, at the opening; the bottom seam has ¼” lamination flake and ¼” wear at the opening; lamination flaking/lifting along the opening, on the front.
