Description
Both labels have 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address; 447 West 50th St. address at the bottom of the back cover, deep groove. The record has "RVG" inscribed in the dead was. Leader. Stitt, alto, tenor and baritone sax. 4 tracks also include Junior Mance, piano; Gene Wright, bass; Art Blakey, drums. 4 tracks also include Charlie Bateman, piano, Wright, bass; Teddy Stewart, drums. 2 tracks also include Kenny Drew, piano; Tommy Potter, bass; Blakey, drums. 2 tracks also include John Houston, piano; Ernie Sheppard, bass; Shadow Wilson, drums: Bill Massey, Joe Newman, John Hunt, trumpets; Humberto Morales, timbales. Recorded in 1950, '51,'52. Very rare.
Cover: VG+ 1" split on the bottom edge, clean with some edge wear. Light aging on the back cover. Overall fine condition.
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. Possibly played only 2 or 3 times with care. Track 1, Side A has slight discoloration in the pressing. This does not affect the sound. There are several light clicks. As there are no markings on the record this slight noise may be a result of the early pressing. I have added the (-) to adjust for this noise but, basically, the record has no noise from wear. The record plays close to Mint. Audibly checked.
