Description
This is Verve Records MG V-8377, Sonny Stitt Saxophone Supremacy, a black, trumpet, deep groove labeled original mono issue of this classic quartet session featuring Lou Levy, Leroy Vinnegar and Mel Lewis. The record is in VG++ condition showing only a few superficial marks mostly at the beginning of side 2, but playing quietly throughout. The cover has a 1" split on the upper right seam, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The original thumbnail inner sleeve is included. The labels are excellent. A wonderful collector's grade copy of this classic session. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
