Description
CONDITION: E+ "Whoopin The Blues Side" and V+ All Alone Blues"--- nice clean record -- from 1947, the CAPITOL AMERICANA recording sessions by SONNY TERRY are considered among his best -- there were three sessions -- two in 1947 and one in 1948 where he laid down a total of 10 sides -- in the first two recording dates his back ups included guitarist STICKS McGHEE who was brother of Terry's long time sideman and fellow Piedmont Bluesman BROWNIE McGHEE, who played on most of his recordings including his third Capitol session -- this first session in January of 1947 relulted in 4 sides including these two -- on COLUMBIA AMERICANA 40003, a 10-inch 78 rpm original record -- please see photos for overall condition.
Will be securely packed in new 12x12x4 box with cardboard stiffeners and floating in a paper fill.
