Rare original 1958 mono deep groove pressing of Soul Brothers, a dynamic jazz-blues collaboration between vibraphonist Milt "Bags" Jackson and legendary pianist and vocalist Ray Charles, released on Atlantic Records (catalog #1279). This high-fidelity LP showcases the musical synergy between two giants of American music and includes standout performances such as the title track “Soul Brothers” and “How Long Blues.”
Pressed in the U.S.A., this vintage LP includes the original glossy laminated jacket with iconic cover photo of Jackson and Charles. The back cover features extensive liner notes by DJ Bill Randle and full personnel credits, including Kenny Burrell on guitar and Oscar Pettiford on bass. Also includes the original Atlantic Records catalog inner sleeve.
