Soul Sisters (2) ?– I Can't Stand It Genre: Funk / Soul, Blues Style: Rhythm & Blues, Soul Year: 1964 The Soul Sisters are Tresia Cleveland and Ann Gissendanner who recorded “I can’t stand it” in 1964 for the American Sue label. Originally they were called The Canjoes and also featured the well known singer Lou Johnson. It is thought that The Soul Sisters also recorded for Chess Records under the name The Kolettes, where just one record was issued, “Who’s that guy”. In 1968 they moved to Veep records. The Soul Sisters are understood to be performing still.
