For your consideration is a rare vintage 10 inch 78 rpm record entitled Machine Gun Fire Intermittent b/w Continuous. Recording featuring actua vintage 30s era machine guns being fired by the Indiana National Guard. The Starr Piano Company was heavily affected by the onset of great depression. The companies original label Gennett was folded in 1930 and their Champion subsidiary limped along through most of 1934. Later issues of this label are extremely rare. Many entries no long have any confirmed existing copies. After Champion and Gennett masters were sold to Decca in late 1934, the only records Starr Piano was still making of their own were Sound Effect records for use on radio. Gennett was actually in many ways the pioneer of the sound effect record, and engineers who worked on making these had to be quite inventive and creative in figuring out how to create some of the sounds. These records can be quite scarce today. Interesting ones like this Machine Gun record don't turn up often amongst those that do. Very interesting one!

Keep in mind that for the highest fidelity reproduction results, a correct sized, well maintained stylus should always be used and antique records should also always receive a deep cleaning with a stiff bristled brush and a non-alcohol based soap. I do not provide grading beyond what is required by eBay. All 78 rpm records, vinyl or shellac, will be shipped sandwiched between either thick cardboard or some spare 78 rpm discs to provide substantial reinforcement for uneven pressure placed on a package during shipment. The record sandwich is then suspended in packing peanuts on all sides. Packing peanuts are the optimal durable memory material as they will insulate your item against any acute forces such as a fall or any type of blow and unlike bubble wrap will not pop and lose their shape if subjected to a strong force.
